Weather in Cabo Pulmo

Cabo Pulmo is located on the Tropic of Cancer with a desert-like, relatively dry climate. We enjoy daily sun and it’s never cold so you can enjoy ocean activities every month of the year!

  • Spring

Spring, particularly March, April and May, is PEAK SEASON in Baja Sur, with everyone wanting relief from the winter. Fishing and diving are excellent! The weather is temperate and perhaps the best we see all year, not too hot and not too cool, and usually calm. In Spring, VILLA & CASA DEL MAR and EL NIDO can book over a year in advance! Definitely call early if you want your school’s Spring Break! Daytime air temps average between mid 70’s and mid 80’s, nighttime temps in the high 60’s and low 70’s, water temps average from low to high 70’s. June is one of the best months of the year, with warm air, warm ocean, great fishing and diving. Baja is definitely less traveled because summer has come to most USA areas and most people travel in the USA.

  • Summer

Fishing and diving are superb in summer! Don’t let the possibility of some heat scare you away! At Cabo Pulmo, daytime temps at the beach are in the mid to high 80’s, occasionally climbing into the low 90’s. Nighttime temps are near 80. Water temps are in the mid to high 80’s and you can stay in the water for hours on end! VILLA & CASA DEL MAR and EL NIDO were specifically designed for hot-weather occupancy, with lots of sliding patio doors and full-opening windows, 8″ of foam insulating the roof, double the number of ceiling fans required, nighttime air conditioning (the ONLY air conditioning in Cabo Pulmo) in the bedrooms, shaded patios with ceiling fans to create a breeze, and lots of palm trees for natural shade. Summertime, particularly the months of August and September, is the slowest tourist season in Baja, also the warmest time of the year. Humidity does climb in summer, however Cabo Pulmo is blessed with ocean breezes which usually keeps air temps 10 to 15 degrees cooler than Los Cabos and La Paz.
